The Department of Applied Foreign Languages plans that starting from the 2028 academic year (August 2028), the department name will be changed from “Department of Applied Foreign Languages” to “Department of Applied Foreign Languages and Artificial Intelligence.” The main purpose of this renaming is to incorporate courses related to artificial intelligence application modules in order to enrich the department’s curriculum and provide students with more comprehensive learning opportunities, stimulate students’ interest in learning, and encourage both faculty and students to participate in departmental and university affairs, thereby jointly building a positive and progressive learning environment.

 

To explain the curriculum planning related to the renaming, the department will hold a departmental renaming briefing session. Faculty members, students, and alumni are sincerely invited to attend.
