Explanation: 1. In accordance with bilingual education policies, the development of learning portfolios under the new curriculum guidelines, and the needs of higher education development programs, this competition is jointly organized by National Taiwan Normal University and the (Global Learning and Assessment Development, GLAD), together with the National Taiwan Science Education Center and education bureaus from New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Taichung City, Kaohsiung City, Hsinchu City, and Yunlin County. The “2025 (14th) Professional English and Japanese Vocabulary (ESP) and Listening–Dictation–Speaking Ability Competition” promotes students’ professional English and Japanese language literacy through competitive learning. By integrating learning with competition, it encourages students from relevant departments and programs to develop interest in professional language learning, effectively narrowing the gap between academic learning and practical application, and enhancing students’ international workplace competencies in professional vocabulary, listening, and speaking.2. According to the competition evaluation plan, the regional finals will select one first-place champion, two second-place runners-up, three third-place winners, and several “Golden Brain Awards” in each category. The first-place champion and second-place runners-up are eligible to register for the National Grand Final.
3. Certificates for the regional finals will be mailed to the contact teachers at each institution who registered participants. Please kindly arrange public recognition and commendation for participating teachers and students.
4. Teachers who participated in the teacher category or who supervised award-winning contestants may use this official notice in accordance with the commendation policies of their institutions or the “Regulations Governing the Evaluation of Public Senior High School and Below Teachers.”
5. The National Grand Final of this competition will be held on January 27, 2026 (Tuesday) at Lee-Ming Institute of Technology in New Taipei City. The registration form will be announced on the competition website. 6. The Speaking Test competition category will continue to be held this year with additional registration. Each category (Teacher Division, University Division, and Senior High/Vocational High Division) is limited to 30 participants (selected based on registration order). Registration will open from 10:00 AM on December 30, 2025 until 5:00 PM on January 2, 2026. The registration form link will be announced on the competition website.
7. To avoid wasting speaking competition resources, a registration fee of NTD 100 will be charged.
