1. Both FLPT and FLPT-Basic adopt online registration. The test information is as follows:
(1) Foreign Language Proficiency Test (FLPT):
1. Test date: May 10 (Sunday)
2. Registration period: February 23 – March 24
3. Test locations: Taipei, Taichung, Tainan
4. Test languages and components: English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish | Written test (listening and reading), speaking, English writing. Candidates may select individual components or combine them according to their needs.
(2) Foreign Language Proficiency Test – Basic Level for European and Japanese Languages (FLPT-Basic):
1. Test date: May 31 (Sunday)
2. Registration period: March 2 – March 31
3. Test locations: Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung
4. Test languages and components: Japanese, French, German, Spanish | Written test (listening and reading)

2. The test results can be referenced to the international CEFR standard, allowing candidates to determine their proficiency level from Pre-A1 to C1 in a single test. The results are widely recognized by schools and institutions as proof of learning outcomes, for admission selection, and for credit exemption. They can also be recorded in learning portfolio documents as evidence of diverse performance. Certificates may be applied for as needed and can combine results from different test dates within two years.
