Speaker: Rachel Lee
Background: Rachel Lee is a lecturer and specialist in the Aviation English Department at the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the USA. She holds a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.), a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (M.A.), and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management (B.S.) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Rachel has extensive teaching and coordination experience, having held positions at Southern Illinois University and several universities in China. She also holds a Private Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and a Certified Weather Observer qualification from the National Weather Service (NWS). She actively participates in professional organizations and conferences and is a member of the TESOL International Association and the International Civil Aviation English Association. She excels in teaching aviation English and ESL courses, is proficient in intermediate Mandarin and Spanish, and is highly effective in aviation education and student support. This lecture will be conducted primarily in English, with Chinese as supplementary. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to participate and learn about the aviation industry and aviation English teaching-related knowledge. 2 hours of learning hours for government employees/ diversified learning hours for students.
